Fifteen Otters Coming to Provo River

Late in November last year, a female river otter made history by being the first in more than a century to make Provo River its home.

Eleven more were added before Christmas, and now state officials have announced that over the next five months, 15 more river otters will be released into the Provo River, said Mark Hadley of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources in a statement. The sleek, water-loving creatures will be given homes between Jordanelle and Deer Creek reservoirs.
